September 23 - October 23
Physiology: The kidneys and sugar metabolism.
Rising Sign: Also called Ascendant or the First House Cusp: Good looking (soft looks), peace-loving, harmonious, non-judgmental, easy going, procrastinating, proportionate.
Personality Traits of Libra: Our birthday greetings to all of you born under the sign of Libra one of the most sophisticated, non-judgmental, eloquent, and objective but also the most indecisive signs of the Zodiac! Being an Air sign and "ruled" by Venus, Libra seeks to maintain peace and harmony through arbitration. However, their ability to see both sides of any argument can also make them prone to fence-sitting and constantly weighing the pros and cons of any situation.
Libras can drive people up the wall because of their apparent indecision. In fact, the easiest thing to confuse a Libra is to give them a choice. They dislike any form of violence but will fight when their sense of justice is violated. They usually have a very good legal mind and are also good in negotiations. Being a Cardinal sign, they are self-oriented and like to get things their way. However, being an Air sign, they like to win people to their side through reasoning and appealing to the rational side.
Libras are often found in professions where they are involved with art, beauty or the law or doing something which is aesthetically pleasing. Fashions, clothing, cosmetics, jewelry, architecture, interior decoration and the legislature are some of their favorite choices.
They usually have excellent administrative abilities and are very eloquent in speech (especially if Mercury was in Libra as well). You can tell if someone has Libra prominent in their chart if they use words like "maybe", "perhaps", "on the other hand", etc.!
Those with Venus in Libra look good in anything they wear but have to be careful of sugar and weight problems (due to procrastination). They have natural coordination in clothing and are usually very elegant in dressing. As they are always in need of love, they need a partner who is very romantic. Venus in Libra is compatible with Venus in Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius.
Some of the people born under the sign of Libra are H.I.M. Farah Pahlavi of Iran, Pierre Trudeau, actress Carole Lombard, Rita Hayworth, Charlton Heston, and singer John Lennon.
