Fixed signs are also called Quadriplicities or Qualities and there are four of them: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius

Fixed signs indicate persistence and stubbornness and once they start moving in a certain direction, it is difficult to get them to stop or to change their course. They do not adapt well to changes or unstable environments, and accomplish most in a dependable work place where they can steadily and slowly-but-surely grow and achieve results. Fixed signs seem to have the ability to stick to their ideas to the end because of a certain rigidity in their way of thinking. As they dislike unsure ground and conditions that are constantly changing, they are seldom found in jobs which are based on commission.
They show a steady pattern of behaviour and attitude which makes them very dependable. Venus in any Fixed sign makes one very loyal in friendships and love but also difficult to adapt in case of breakups. Fixed signs take a long time to start something or to get involved with any project, but once they do they stick to it – even if it becomes a lost cause! Many dictators have been born under the Fixed signs (with Aquarius being the least common). Lack of Fixed signs may show a lack of resistance and perseverance (dictators are known to hang on to the bitter end).
Being an Earth sign, their dependability shows itself in personal as well as business relationships. People know where they stand with them because they do not change from day to day. Fixidity of mind shows in their ideas and stubbornness, and their loyalty to traditional values. They can be quite unwilling to start something which has not been previously tested and tried. These are the workers of the society who like more or less routine jobs.
They are good at dealing with people on a one-to-one basis. Taurus is one of the most dependable and calm signs under stress. Venus in Taurus can be very romantic but also very possessive in love. They like antiques for the same reasons that they enjoy things of historical value – loyalty to the past. Real estate, land, insurance, finances (position of trust) and food industry are some of the areas they often gravitate towards.
Leos are fixed in their belief that they are a cut above the rest and there is certainly something about their personality which makes them stand out in a crowd. There is always a dramatic, theatrical and flamboyant side to their nature and they enjoy things that are exclusive. They do not just demand respect, they seek homage from their subjects!
They can be warm, entertaining and generous but their fixed-mindedness shows once their views are opposed.
This accounts for their stubbornness under stress as well as their willingness to accept a challenge and to confront a situation and not running away from it. Part of their leadership ability stems from the fact that they do not collapse under stress but “put their foot down” when opposed. They consistently show the need for admiration and ego-gratification in the way they accept positions of authority and prestige. These are sometimes the dictators, but usually the “Caesar” type who love the pomp, luxury and limelight, rather than the military type.
Being a Water sign, the stubbornness of Scorpio is more self-directed and sometimes not very obvious. These are the people who need to identify with a cause or mission, where they are saving someone or trying to find solutions to complex problems. The fixidity of purpose and tenacity shows in their intensity of involvement because they will hang on to an idea, project or a relationship even if it becomes a lost cause and regardless of the consequences.
They should be very careful that they are not involved with the wrong cause from the beginning. In love, those with Venus in Scorpio never give up and have an “all-or-nothing ” or “till death do us part” attitude, which can sometimes lead to crimes of passion. They are some of the best friends, but don’t cross them! They have a probing and persistent way of getting to the bottom of things, and are the natural researchers and born detectives.
They are determined to see a project through and they keep trying till they find a solution. They are more tenacious and determined than any other sign, and can be very useful in fighting for the underdog, or in dedicating a whole lifetime to any cause they believe in. They usually do not instigate but always retaliate harshly. They can also be quite vindictive but and sarcastic but usually only if they feel wronged.
Aquarians are fixed, stubborn and unchanging in their behaviour and attitudes towards others and in their own unconventional ideas about society in general. They remain original, inventive, brilliant, erratic and erratic in their beliefs throughout their lives. They are also fixed in their unorthodox and independent way of thinking. Being an Air sign, the fixidity applies more to the way and the manner they “think” rather than in what they “do”. They can be quite broadminded and will listen to anyone (with occasional intellectual comments), but after the discussion, one would find that they have not been able to change their minds after all.
Aquarians gives a firm belief in the fundamental rights of people and is always trying to do something for the masses (Edison’s light bulb is a classic example which found its way into every house.) They are also consistent in their cool and almost aloof approach and try their best not to look impressed. Being the opposite side of Leo, they need attention but do not know how to get it, and usually manipulate others so they have no choice but to give it. However, being an air sign, it is not as much ego-gratification as the right to be listened to that drives them. Although they do not display their passion in an obvious manner, Venus in Aquarius can be quite loyal in relationships.
Focus on your Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus positions for now. Sun represents your basic drives and the most consistent part of your character. Moon indicates your emotional side and how you react to the immediate stimuli. For example, if you are a Leo, then you will always be dramatic. If you have Moon in Leo, then you will display your theatrical side when you are angry or just to make a point. Mercury shows how you communicate and Venus is an accurate indicator of your attitude towards love and all matters pertaining to your feelings.
