Princess Diana was born with Neptune in Scorpio, the same planetary position when Taj Mahal was made as a mausoleum to a Moghul Queen who was immortalized in death.
Diana was born with the planet of fantasy in her 10th house of fame and public eye, and projected a deceptively vulnerable and scandalous image.
Neptune represented many roles for her including the fairy tale Princess, the actress and the humanitarian who truly loved children and old people.
Although belonging to a strange 60’s generation (Neptune in Scorpio) which is known for its love of extremes of power, sensuality, intrigue and spirituality, she did have a wisdom element in her chart (Mercury sextile Pluto) and was very prophetic when she said “I want to be the Queen of people’s heart”.
In Aug.’97, Mars in Scorpio exactly conjunct her Neptune when she embarked on her “land mines” crusade.
Jupiter was coming close to her Moon and also making aspects to her natal Venus.
She was probably planning to immigrate and had found the wealthy foreigner she was supposed to and was getting a lot of public support.
With Jupiter sq. Venus and Moon in Leo, the setting in Paris (Venus in Libra) could not have been more perfect for a romance the whole world got involved in. Except for Pluto sq. her natal Mars cnj Uranus (freak accidents to head and spine) and Saturn in her 3rd house (car mishaps) at the very bottom of her chart (obscurity).
Four years ago, we had mentioned that this was going to be the obscure period of her life.
On 30th Aug 1997, just before midnight, her natal Mars cnj Uranus got touched off by transiting Moon in Leo, the sign of Royalty.
Princess Diana’s chart is on the inside and the transits are on the outer circle of the horoscope.
In our Aug 1997 issue, this was the aspect we had mentioned as being dangerous for her (freak accidents to the head and spine).
Pluto had been squaring her Mars for the whole year (bombs and explosions).
Both Diana and Dodi Fayed were born with a Mars-Pluto adverse aspect which indicates extreme danger to the head area through guns, explosives, bombs, and violence.
In her last crusade, she was even taking chances with land mines! Both were also very reckless with fast cars and speed and Dodi was extremely impatient.
With Mars in Scorpio conjunct her natal Neptune (nightmare, scandals, obsessions, and drunk driving), she walked into the arms of destiny which enticed her with idealistic love.
There was hidden danger, a drunk driver, paparazzi flashing bulbs at the crucial moment temporarily blinding the driver...even the tunnel is a Scorpio theme!
But Aug.’97 was also very romantic for her.
In our Moon Magic 1997, pages 36-37, the transit of Venus for Aug.’97 under LIB MC shows #9...“an excellent time for love cruises” and “love with foreigners while traveling!”
Saturn (page 42) was just leaving #3 “car mishaps” for #4...obscurity and last abode.
Strange synchronicity that both Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana were 36 when they passed away, both died in August within days to the number of days from their birth (59 and 64 days respectively after their birthday) and Diana was about 1 year old when Marilyn Monroe passed away.
Both were also the most photographed women in the world.

Anyone born with or going through an Adverse Mars-Pluto Aspects needs to be careful of violence, temper, and also danger through guns and explosives, especially to the head area.
Although you are born with this and have to always be on guard, there are certain times when this gets touched off by transit that is more dangerous than at other times.
House position of Mars in your Natal chart will show where the danger is and the best way to offset it is through harmless physical work which is not dangerous and does not involve speeding, guns or explosives.
Both Diana and Dodi Fayed were born with adverse Mars/Pluto aspects.
